Rick Amon, President, joined American Fidelity Commercial Real Estate (AFCRE) in 2021. Prior to joining AFCRE, Rick was Chief Operating Officer with Colliers International Raleigh-Durham, and previously held senior management positions representing Sumitomo Life Realty, MetLife, TIAA-CREF, and Coca-Cola world headquarters. In addition to holding degrees in business from Shorter University and psychology from Georgia State University, Rick’s credentials include a certified property manager (“CPM®”) designation, multiple broker licenses (Oklahoma, North Carolina, Georgia and West Virginia), former Education Chairman and Vice President of Finance for the Institute of Real Estate Management (“IREM”), former BOMA Georgia President, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Certified BOMI and National Real Estate Standards Instructor, and recipient of the Huey Lifetime Achievement Award and President’s Award. His most notable development project was North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory’s Project Phoenix, a $500MM public-private redevelopment project.
